Apple new iPad
New iPad, which hit the retail shelves of India in April boasts a dimension of 241.2 x 185.7 x 9.4 mm and weighs around 652 grams. The tablet packs a 9.7 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen Retina Display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core Apple A5 processor, iOS 6 platform, 5MP iSight rear camera and VGA front camera for video calling.
Further, new iPad comes in three configurations – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage accompanied with 1GB RAM, 42.5 Whr Li-Po offering 10 hours backup and has connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. It comes with 4G LTE compatibility as well, but, it does not work in India.
New iPad is available in the market in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants priced at Rs 30,500, Rs 36,500 and Rs 42,500 for Wi-Fi only models and Rs 38,900, Rs 44,900 and Rs 50,900 for Wi+Fi + 4G models respectively.
Having Retina Display, which is as good as the display in the Nexus 10, new iPad has the capability to pose a stiff competition to the new tablet.
