Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in February, recently the Korean tech giant confirmed that it would start the shipping the tablet globally by the end of this month. Keeping their word, the company started the pre-orders for the tablet last week globally including India as well, at an advance payment of Rs 2,000.

According to BGR reports, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, one of the most anticipated tablet, the country is waiting for could be released as soon as today, i.e. August 24. Hence, let's take a final look at the breakthrough features Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.


Form Factor: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will carry a dimension of 262 x 180 x 8.9mm along with a 580 grams weight.

Display: The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet will sport a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device will include a S-Pen stylus, which is designed for the users to work conveniently with the tablet.

Operating System: Furthermore, the tablet will be flavored by Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Processor: Galaxy Note 10.1 will come packed with a 1.4 GHz quad core Exynos processor.

Memory: Galaxy Note 10.1 will hit the retail stores in three configurations – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, each with a micro SD card slot which will support up to 64GB expandable memory and 2GB RAM.

Camera: Talking about the Galaxy Note 10.1 will have a 5MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a 1.9MP front camera.

Connectivity: On the connectivity front, the tablet will boast features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Battery: Galaxy Note 10.1 will be loaded with a 7000 mAh battery which will provide a decent battery life to the device.


Price: When it comes to the pricing of the S-Pen equipped Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, Samsung has still not disclosed the official price tag of the tablet, however the 16GB variant of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is available on for pe-order on paying an advance of Rs 2,000, which is non-refundable. Along with that the company is also offering a free book cover worth Rs 3,249.

At the same time numerous reports are suggesting that the hefty Galaxy Note 10.1 table will come with a price range starting from around $499 (approx. Rs 27,500), similar to the price of the Apple's new iPad 16GB Wi-Fi-only variant.
