Samsung Galaxy S Advance to Receive Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Upgrade in January

There is good news for Samsung Galaxy S Advance users. Samsung"s German wing has informed through their Facebook page that the model will get the Jelly Bean OS update in January. As per the Facebook update, this Android 4.1.2 update will be done through both Kies software as well as over the air.

The Galaxy S Advance model is currently on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread version. Samsung had earlier announced that Galaxy S Advance would only be getting Jelly Bean update and would not be having any ICS update. Sources had indicated that the model will get this update by November. It seems that users may have to wait little longer and they will start receiving it only from next year beginning.

Some people had a doubt whether company will actually come up with an update for Galaxy S Advance model as it could impact the sales of Galaxy S3 Mini model. However, Samsung on the other hand seems to be going ahead with this update as part of their move to keep all their existing customers happy.

Galaxy S Advance is powered by 1 GHz dual core Cortex-A9 processor and supports a SD memory capacity up to 32 GB in addition to 16 GB internal memory, 768 MB system memory and 2 GB ROM. It has a 5 MP rear end camera and 1.3 MP secondary camera. The model supports all standard connectivity options. It is a worthy model to retain and users would be happy with the news coming in regarding the availability of Jelly Bean update soon in January.
