New Sony Vaio S Vs Vaio Z Series Laptops
Sony Vaio S series are robust 13 inch laptops offering powerpacked performance while the Vaio Z series laptops are very light, ultra thin and extremely fast in terms of performance. The Z series are also 13 inch laptops. You are likely to be impressed by both the S series and Z series design. But that would depend on your interests and inclinations. Vaio S series' chassis and lid are of matte silver. The neatly textured palm rest extends to the trackpad which is quite smooth.
Z series is pretty stylish with sleek flat body and display lid made out of tough, durable and light carbon fiber. Weighing about 1.16 kg, Vaio Z series are the lighter among the two while Sony Vaio S Series laptops weigh about 2.1 kg. If you require a laptop for business purpose, which combines light weight portability and performance features, then Sony Vaio Z series laptops will be the ideal choice. Z series with their new generation Intel Core i7 processors with Turbo boost overclock feature offer ultimate performance while the S series are not half bad with their Intel Core i5 processors but also comes with i7 processors as well.
Both Vaio series laptops run in Windows 7 Genuine versions. The integrated Intel GPU in Sony Vaio S Series is a bit disappointing with awkward frame rates and texture qualities for games. Vaio Z series with full HD resolution displays offer better gaming and HD performance comparatively, with its inbuilt Intel card and 1GB VRAM AMD Radeon TM HD 6650 GPU but not enough for serious gaming like playing Crysis 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Z series Vaio laptops easily dominates Vaio S series laptops in battery efficiency as Z series are capable of lasting for about 6.5 hours while S series barely makes it for 4 hours and 30 minutes. Both series have HDMI outputs, reliable USB ports and fast Bluetooth connectivity.
Sony Vaio Z series laptops are way expensive with a price in India range between Rs 95,000/- and Rs 1, 50,000/-. Sony Vaio S series start from Rs 45,000/- onwards and will not exceed more than Rs 65,000/- price in India.
