Toshiba Unveils Toshiba Portege Z830 Ultrabook
Toshiba's first Ultrabook has been revealed. The Toshiba Portege Z830 is thin. In fact it's the thinnest 13 inch computer ever. The first out model was a bit costly but the newly out unit is affordable and hasn't compromised on performance. The new model is clearly a competition to the reputed MacBook Air. Several other brands have also come up with their own new range of notebooks and laptops making competition stiff for Macbook.

The 13 inch Toshiba Portege Z830 is the lightest and thinnest new laptop ever introduced in the global market. It weighs just 2.5 pounds. At its thinnest edges, it measures only 0.63 inches. That makes the new Toshiba Portege Z830 20 percent thinner than its ancestral series, the Toshiba R830.

The new laptop comes with a 13.3 inch LED backlit display offering a resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels. Instead of a hard drive, the system features a flash internal storage in it. This is a clear statement that the system will be fast in responses. The pre installed Windows seven will definitely have a smooth run in the Ultrabook. With the Intel's second generation Core processors (i3, i5, and i7), it can be confirmed.

Another specialty of the notebook is the sleep/hibernate modes allowing charging a phone or USB devices with the system in sleep. With the onboard Intel HD 3000 graphics, high resolution images can be displayed and thus giving the most brilliant display on screen.

Unlike many similar category laptops, the new Toshiba Portege Z830 will feature a backlit keypad too. Another added advantage of the keypad is its spill resistance bundled with a drop protection technology. The unit is thus capable of withstanding accidental hits on solid surfaces. It will also include air pockets in its designs.

The 128 GB Toshiba Portege Z830 is loaded with a magnesium alloy chassis with a honey comb structure. This makes it even more rigid.

Alongside the laptop is set with two USB v2.0 and an updated USB 3.0. Added with that, there is also a HDMI and VGA out, with which the screen display can be viewed in supported big screens and monitors. The Ultrabook is capable of giving a quality video conference with its 1.3 mega pixel camera well placed. The camera is arranged at good angles for better video capturing. The security features of the system gets optional with the customer having a choice of a finger print reader for preventing unauthorized access to the system.

A laptop system gets even more desirable once it's tagged with an affordable price. Toshiba hasn't yet announced its price in India, but it's definitely going to be an economic one.
