While the tech world still awaits the release of Windows 8 ultrabooks in the market, recently renowned tech manufacturer Toshiba has launched its Satellite U845W Ultrabook – an ultra-portable laptop for the tech entusiasts.

Toshiba Satellite U845W will come sporting a 14.4 inch screen display with resolution of 1792 x 768 pixels to provide a better experience to its users especially while watching movies. A squat design is followed in the ultrabook which makes it ideal for users who travel a lot.

The exterior body of the laptop is made up of aluminium and a copper shade is used for giving it a truly refreshing look. The device has a thickness of 0.82 inches and is highly portable weighing just around 4 pounds.

Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook will come in some bright colors featuring a pre-loaded Snap Screen utility which allows users to view two windows side by side. However, the keyboard of the device is a bit disappointing with the keys coming across as sticky making typing cumbersome.

The processing functionalities in the device are powered by Intel Core i5 CPU complimented by an impressive 6GB RAM. It has a hard drive specification of 500GB which works at a rate of 5,400 RPM. The internal storage capacity is 32GB. There is also a fully loaded version which features an Intel Core i7 processor and also 256GB SSD. Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook is powered by Windows 7 Professional Home Premium operating system.

Further, Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook has not disappointed users with its connectivity features. It is loaded with most of the connectivity features users expect from a high-end laptop. The list includes an Ethernet jack, USB 3.0, HDMI ports capable of providing comparatively better data transfer and video output. The device also features separate ports for headphones and mic. It has a memory card reader too placed at the bottom of the Ultrabook.

Meanwhile, Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook is available from Rs. 52,000 onwards.

Engadget did a battery test of the device and found out that Satellite U845W lasted five hours and 13 minutes. “That's on par with other 14-inch Ultrabooks, such as the Series 5, which lasted five hours and nine minutes,” said the report. Well, as a verdict it can be said, that Satellite U845W stand out with some impressive specs, unique display and commendable form factor.
