Toshiba's Android based Excite X10 tablet price confirmed
Toshiba has come up with the slimmest tablet in the market. Toshiba Excite X10 AT200 tablet comes with its Android 3.x Honeycomb operating system that makes it a most updated one in the genus.
The tablet was first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 held in Las Vegas early this year. The tablet was highly appreciated by the critics and gadget reviewers all over the world. It’s observed to give even the top most reputed and slimmest tablet models in the business like an Apple iPad 2 or a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.
This tablet is just 7.62 mm in its thickness. It comes equipped with a 10 inch capacitive touch screen display which has a pixel resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels. The screen has an aspect ratio of 16:10 which means a very high quality display of images and videos with extreme clarity can be expected.
Under the hoods, the tablet has some very powerful processor and chipset dedicated for the smooth and fast functioning of the device. It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz OMAP 4430 mobile processor coupled and bundled along with a 1 GB RAM, it can’t get any better than this. The configuration has been made this powerful so as to go well along with its embedded high end Android operating system, the Honeycomb.
Toshiba Excite has a 5 megapixel camera at its rear and in the front, a 2 Mega pixel camera can be found for making it possible for video calls and conference. Though the tablet is thin, it hasn’t made any compromise in providing enough multimedia and utility ports like a micro USB or a micro HDMI and Wi-Fi connectivity. It even features an external card slot for memory expanding which is compatible to a micro SD card.
Though the tablet is currently pre installed with the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system, it is expected that it will very soon receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. Then It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz OMAP processor CPU.
Toshiba has got its official announcement and initially it will be made available in the markets of UK from February 15. The tablets will be tagged with a price of around Rs 30,000/-.
