Interface and Processor Capabilities

Wammy Desire is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and has a 1.5GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor and 400 Mali Core GPU. Being a budget tablet, these specs are remarkable at such a budget price, and when it comes to the performance the tablet is definitely a rocker than any other branded tablet in the same price category.

Further, Wammy Desire has a 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory support. 8GB internal storage capacity is almost twice than its competitors in the segment. The 1.5GHz processor is twice in speed as compared to the processors in the devices at such price tags. Also, the Mali 400 GPU offers accelerated graphic performance. As a bonus feature, there is a capacitive stylus as part of the package.

When we checked, Internal storage for apps and other media was 1GB, free RAM was 667MB and used RAM was 206MB.

Out of the 8GB internal space, 2.18GB was used up by the preloaded applications and the remaining 5.82GB was left for the users to download and install applications, store multimedia content and more.

Connectivity & Apps

When it comes to data connectivity, Wammy Desire is packed with features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G through dongle, however, being a budget device, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity.

Also, the tablet comes with mini HDMI port that allows the consumers to connect the tablet to an external high definition television, monitor or projector to watch movies, photos or any other content on the tablet on a larger display.

It is to be noted that one can connect input devices such as USB keyboard and mouse, external storage devices and USB Ethernet adapters, which can be done by toggling the Ethernet connection option in the Settings menu on.

The tablet comes preloaded with a plethora of features such as Adobe Flash 11.x, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF documents and 3D games including Hero Of Sparta, Nova, Gun Bros, Spiderman and more.
