Samsung Galaxy S24 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Teased Under ₹40K Ahead of Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale
Samsung is gearing up for the festive season with a surprise. For the first time, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “For Galaxy” version of the Galaxy S24 is coming to India, and Flipkart has started teasing the launch ahead of its Big Billion Days sale beginning September 23. The teaser shows a price starting with “3” and ending with “9,” suggesting the phone will land under ₹40,000.

Snapdragon “For Galaxy” Comes to India
When the Galaxy S24 debuted in India last year, it shipped only with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400. In contrast, markets like the US and South Korea received the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “For Galaxy” variant—an exclusive chip with a faster prime core than the standard Snapdragon.
Indian buyers will finally get access to this Qualcomm model, and that matters. Snapdragon chips have consistently delivered better performance and efficiency compared to Samsung’s Exynos line.
Same Specs
Apart from the chipset, the Snapdragon model is identical to the Exynos S24 already on sale. It has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh and 2,600 nits peak brightness, a triple rear camera setup (50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto), and a 12MP front camera. The 4,000 mAh battery supports 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Samsung also backs the S24 with seven years of OS upgrades and security updates, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and IP68 water resistance.
Price and Storage Choices
Currently, the Exynos S24 is selling in India for around ₹52,000 for the base 8GB + 128GB model. A Snapdragon variant teased under ₹40,000 represents a major shift in value. However, that pricing will almost certainly apply to the base 8GB + 128GB version. While tempting, 128GB fills up quickly if you shoot lots of photos and videos or play heavy games. For most users, the 256GB option is a smarter long-term choice, even if it costs more.
The Galaxy S25 FE Factor
Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE at IFA Berlin. Unlike the Snapdragon-powered S24, the FE uses the Exynos 2400—the same chip that powered the standard S24 in India last year.

The FE is aimed at those who want more size and stamina. It offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a larger 4,900 mAh battery, and faster 45W charging. On the software side, it includes Samsung’s latest AI features, along with the promise of seven years of updates.
In Europe, the S25 FE starts at €749, a very different price bracket compared to the sub-₹40,000 Snapdragon S24 teased for India. Until Samsung announces local pricing, the Snapdragon version looks like the more straightforward value play.
