Xiaomi SU7 EV Launched in China: 3 Variants Available, Starts at $30,000
Xiaomi has finally launched the long-awaited SU7 sedan, capturing attention with its impressive features and configurations. The reveal introduced an additional model compared to the initial tech launch in December 2023, making for a total of three distinct versions to choose from.
This lineup aims to cater to a broad spectrum of needs and preferences, starting with the base model designed for efficiency and affordability.

The Base Model
The entry-level variant is equipped with a 299 hp rear-mounted motor paired with a 73.6 kWh 486V battery. This combination promises a range of 700 km, based on the optimistic CLTC standard. Impressively, it can recharge up to 310 km in just 15 minutes. The starting price is set at RMB 215,900 (roughly Rs 24,90,352), offering an accessible entry point into the electric vehicle (EV) market.
The SU7 Pro
For those seeking extended range, the SU7 Pro includes a 94.3 kWh battery capable of covering 830 km on a single charge, maintaining the same rear motor configuration. This model is priced at RMB 245,900 (roughly Rs 28,36,395), closely mirroring the Tesla Model 3's cost in China, thereby positioning it as a competitive option.
The SU7 Max
At the pinnacle of the series is the SU7 Max, featuring an 871V system and a 101 kWh battery for up to 810 km of driving range. This model boasts a dual motor AWD setup, delivering an impressive 495 kW (673 hp). It also supports fast recharging, offering 510 km of range in just 15 minutes. The price for this top-tier model is RMB 299,900 (roughly Rs 34,59,271).
Advanced Features Across All Models
All SU7 trims will come with Xiaomi's Pilot Pro self-driving system as a standard feature. This system includes an Nvidia Orin chip, a LiDAR system, and 11 cameras. Xiaomi plans to launch the Pilot Pro feature for user testing in April, with a broader rollout in several Chinese cities by May and a nationwide launch by August this year.

The interior of the SU7 series offers luxury and innovation, with options such as a fridge, Nappa leather or Oeko-Tex seats, and a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos-tuned audio system. The inclusion of two screens for the back seats, repurposed from Xiaomi Pad 6S Pros, and a 56-inch adjustable HUD, further enhance the passenger experience. Additionally, the infotainment system provides seamless integration with Xiaomi phones, while also supporting CarPlay for Apple users.

Delivery Schedule
To sweeten the deal, Xiaomi is offering early bird perks for orders placed by April 30, including complimentary Nappa leather seats and a fridge compartment. Deliveries for the standard and Max SU7 variants are expected to commence at the end of April, with the Pro version following at the end of May.
