HP Launches a Range of Devices for Indian Market: Specs, Price and More

HP today unveiled eight new mobile devices, an ecosystem of accessories along with strategic relationship. New tablets and 2-in-1 devices running Microsoft Windows operating system, along with new tablets built on Google's Android operating system has been launched. Lets have a look at it.

HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12 are high-definition (HD) Android tablets which is Available in two variants 8-inch or 12-inch displays respectively. The tablets are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor and support a 4:3 aspect ratio to easily view business documents and access business applications. It carries a dimension less than 8mm thickness. Further, both devices are designed in a way, that it supports HP's Zero Force connector. HP Pro Slate 8 is the first tablets to equip Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

HP Duet Pen, uses Qualcomm Snapdragon digital pen technology on both tablet and regular paper, is included with the HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12. This will help employees to create easily shareable content by writing and digitizing input from the device's screen or via a regular sheet of paper using the HP Paper Folio.

HP Pro Slate 8 and 12 is available now with a starting price of $449 (approx Rs. 27,680) and $569 (approx Rs. 35,101) respectively.

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 sports a 11.6-inch display, runs on Windows 8 Pro. It can easily transforms from a tablet to a laptop with Ultrabook configurations available. Tested to military specs for durability, the Elite x2 can be used for personal work. It supports optional accessories, includes an wireless dock, a cover, a lightweight travel keyboard and an optional Wacom pen. HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is expected to be available in late January with a starting price of $899 (approx Rs. 55,446).

HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 comes with 8-inch display with 9mm thickness, which runs on a full Windows 8 Pro. It comes with 64GB of internal storage with micro-HDMI, and an 8 MP rear camera with flash. HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is available now with a starting price of $299 (approx Rs. 18,440).

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare Tablet is designed to enhance patient interaction. This tablet is treated with antimicrobial treatment to protect the product, and it is waterproofed under IP 54 specification. It comes with 2D barcode reader to validate personnel, patients, and catalog and administrate medication. HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare Tablet is available now with a starting price of $1,499 (approx Rs. 92,473).

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet comes with IP 65 rated for water and dust proof, also MIL-STD 810 testing, with up to 20 hours of battery life and a 2D barcode reader to quickly access information. HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet is expected to be available in February with a starting price of $1,599 (approx Rs. 98,394).

The Intel Atom-based HP Pro Tablet 10 EE runs on Windows and the HP Pro Slate 10 EE Android tablet has passed IP-52 testing for dust and moisture. It includes an on-board garage for the optional stylus, plus a hard-wired keyboard base option and secure 1:1 learning. HP Pro Slate 10 EE is available now with a starting price of $279 (approx Rs. 17,168).
