Asus EeeBook X205 Launched in India at Rs 14,999: Exclusively Available on FlipKart

In an attempt to compete with the likes of Google Chromebook, Asus has launched a new budget notebook in India today. Officially named as Asus EeeBook X205, the affordable notebook comes with an 11.6 inch screen display, a full size keyboard and a large touchpad and carries a price tag of Rs 14,999.

Further, as informed in the press event which was held in New Delhi today, Asus EeeBook X205 is powered by Intel's Atom processor and runs on Windows 8.1. Besides, the newly launched notebook also has a Connected Standby Technology which makes the Asus EeeBook X205 resume instantly from the sleep mode. This feature is similar to the smartphone's lock screen.

This 11.6 inch notebook is specifically designed for the students and young professionals and weighs less than 1kg. It has got a touchpad which is 36% larger than any other any other notebooks of the same size. As it runs on Windows 8.1, with the help of Smart Gesture technology, users can control over screen without mouse.

Further, the device has a full-size, large keyboard with 1.6mm of key travel which makes the typing comfortabe. Meanwhile, the Windows 8.1 powered Notebook will be available in four colors including black, white, gold and red.

Performance:

As it runs on quad-core Intel's Atom processor, there won't be any lag while operating. At the same time, users can sync the notebook with their smartphones to socially connected. Moreover, Asus EeeBook X205 can receive mails, updates, notifications and messages even when the Notebook's lid is closed. The stand-by time is over 14 days and it has an enormous battery life of 12 hours. When the battery level is dropped to 5% it will automatically takes the backup, so users don't have to worry on the ongoing work.

As mentioned in the company press release, Asus EeeBook X205 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available on Flipkart from today ie. January 21. At the same time, Asus EeeBook X205 will also hit the Asus stores from February onwards.
