Google Home And Home Mini Facing Issues After New Update: Report
When it comes to smart speakers, we all think about Google, Amazon, and Apple. These are the companies which have marked themselves in the global market. Now, it has been reported that the Google Home and the Home Mini are facing blocking issues after the latest software update. The company has addressed the issue and started working on the fix.
Numerous users have complained on Google support forums and on Reddit, that the Google Home and Home Mini devices are facing issues after the update. According to the report, the update is bricking the devices, the indicator lights are flashing but the device is not responding to any command.
Some users also noted that unplugging and reconnecting the smart speaker is fixing the issue for them, some have also reported that factory reset is also helping in solving this issue. Meanwhile, some users have also commented that nothing is working for them and the devices are not responding to anything. However, Google has responded to the thread on the forum that it is working on a fix which will be shortly rolled out to all users.
"We wanted to provide an update here - as others have noted in this thread, the team is aware of these specific issues with both Google Home Minis and Google Home devices becoming unresponsive and we're actively working on a fix," Google wrote on the support page.
"It has been very difficult for our team to diagnose this issue and we understand why many of you have been frustrated with this ongoing process. Our support team will be reaching out to customers on this thread via private messaging to further address this issue and come to a resolution," the company added.
Some users have also suggested on Reddit that Google is replacing the effected devices which are under warranty. However, according to Engadget Google has confirmed that the devices out of warranty will be eligible for replacement. Let's see when Google is going to release the update to fix this issue.
