The OnHub router other than being fast, secure and easy to use, boasts an interesting feature like the new Wave Control which will allow you to boost the Wi-Fi speed for a particular device by simply waving your hand at the top of the router.
The Asus made Smart Router support Wireless speeds as high as 1900 Mbps. Further the router comes with 7 dual band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wireless antennas.
The OnHub router utilizes a dual core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz each along with 2 Gigabytes Ethernet ports (1 LAN and 1 WAN), one 3 watt high performance speaker, one USB port and a Proximity sensor. Apparently this proximity sensor is being used for the Wave feature of the router. Beside these the OnHub router is comes with 802.15.4 standard ready along with Bluetooth 4.0.
"OnHub routers are designed to stay fresh and get better over time. So in addition to the new ASUS router, in the coming week we're rolling out our first software update with several performance improvements, including a new smart antenna algorithm. Phone in the kitchen? Laptop in the living room? OnHub will intelligently select the best combination of antennas to direct Wi-Fi to your devices, based on their location and orientation," quoted Google in their official blog.
