Nothing’s New Community Update Teases a New Product – Nothing Ear 3 Launching Soon?
Tech company Nothing is keeping fans guessing about its next product launch. A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) features an image of a yellow frog facing off against a black beetle. This imagery aligns with Nothing's past marketing strategies, where a ladybug was used to symbolize the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds. The post hints at an announcement during the company's upcoming community update scheduled for April 18th.
Earbuds or Something Else? Considering Nothing's history of using insects to represent earbuds, this teaser likely points towards a new audio product launch. Whether it's an upgrade to existing earbuds like the Nothing Ear 2 or Nothing Ear Stick, or an entirely new product line altogether, remains unclear. It's worth noting that Nothing also offers various earbuds under its CMF by Nothing sub-brand.

Possible Upcoming Smartphones In a separate development, tech leaker Dylan Roussel shared potential codenames for two upcoming Nothing smartphones: "PacmanPro" and "Tetris." The Nothing Phone 2a was known internally as "Pacman," so "PacmanPro" could signify a new variant, possibly a "Nothing Phone 2a Pro." This could also be related to the previously announced "Community Edition" contest where fans can contribute to the design of a Phone 2a variant.
According to Roussel, these smartphones are expected to launch later in 2024. One could potentially be the flagship successor to the Nothing Phone 2, possibly named the Nothing Phone 3.
The upcoming community update on 18th April promises to unveil details about the new audio product. While the smartphones are likely further out, they hint at Nothing's continuous development in the mobile phone market.
About the Nothing Ear (3) The teaser gives a tantalizing but vague preview. Will the Ear (3) keep the distinctive transparent design and stem of its predecessors? Rumors suggest upgrades in audio quality and battery performance, following the Ear (2)'s success. Whether Nothing chooses to revamp the design or stick with the established aesthetic, we're keenly anticipating the official unveiling.
