The Upcoming Nothing Phone 3 Could Come With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC; Price Tipped Too
A new report from 91mobiles Hindi suggests that Nothing is gearing up for a mid-range launch with a surprisingly powerful processor. According to industry sources, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, aiming to deliver impressive performance without breaking the bank.
Sticking to the Sweet Spot Unlike its predecessor, the Phone (2), which opted for the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Nothing seems to be avoiding the high-end flagship territory this time around. This strategic move positions the Phone (3) squarely within the Rs 40,000-45,000 price range in India, solidifying Nothing's presence in the competitive mid-range market segment.

The Power Within The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 sits between the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3, offering excellent performance without the premium price tag. Built on a 4nm process, this new chipset offers a cost-effective alternative to the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, released last October.
This octa-core beast boasts a 3.0GHz Prime core, four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz, and three efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz. Gamers rejoice! The Adreno GPU muscles in with HDR gaming and real-time ray tracing support. Additionally, the chipset supports a whopping 24GB of LPDDR5x memory and utilizes UFS 4.0 storage for blazing-fast data transfer.
Beyond the Phone Nothing's strategy extends beyond smartphones. The recent launch of the Nothing Phone (2a) further emphasizes their focus on the mid-range market. Plus, rumors swirl about the imminent arrival of the Nothing Ear (3) earbuds. While the official launch date for the Phone (3) remains under wraps, following the release pattern of its predecessors, July 2024 seems like a probable timeframe.
A Calculated Approach The Nothing Phone (3) is shaping up to be a compelling option for those seeking a balance between impressive specs and affordability. The brand's rising influence within the tech space ensures plenty of anticipation for its upcoming release.
