Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor With 29-Inch Panel Coming Soon
Xiaomi is one of the leading smartphone brands based in China and has garnered enough success in other global markets too. Apart from smartphones, the company has been involved in many other product categories such as fitness bands, smart TVs, power banks, and others in the Mijia ecosystem. Adding to its portfolio, the company is in plans to launch a gaming monitor.
As per a report by a Chinese publication, the company seems to be working on a new monitor that will have similar features as the previous offering with a larger 34-inch panel. It is said to retain the 144Hz refresh rate as well as 4ms response time as its predecessor. The only notable difference, for now, is that this curved monitor will have a 29-inch curved panel.
Given that the upcoming curved gaming monitor from Xiaomi will be a relatively smaller one, we can expect it to be priced slightly lower than the one that is already available in the market. The other aspects regarding this new monitor from Xiaomi are yet to be revealed by the company.
Xiaomi's Previous Monitors
Previously, Xiaomi launched the Mi Surface 34, which was the first desktop monitor to come from the company's stable. It features a 34-inch curved 1500R panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. As mentioned above, it features 4ms response time, 144Hz refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync support.
Besides this, the company also took the wraps off a 23.8-inch IPS monitor featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has almost similar features as the 34-inch offering and is priced at 699 yuan (approx. Rs. 7,000). Now, the 29-inch curved gaming monitor that is being speculated will be the third such offering from Xiaomi.
What We Think
Given that Xiaomi is working on a curved gaming monitor, if you want to lay your hands on a gaming monitor that is relatively affordable than rivals, then you can wait for the 29-inch offering to be released. The previous offerings from the company show that this one will also have similar stellar features.
