From Silent Hill to Resident Evil: The Biggest Horror Games Coming in 2025 and 2026

Horror doesn’t wait for Halloween. Sure, October gets all the pumpkins, fog machines, and cheap jump scares, but real fear? That’s year-round. In fact, there’s something about a sticky summer night that makes a sudden jolt of terror land even harder.

PlayStation’s Upcoming Horror Games for 2025 and 2026 — What to Expect

The next 18 months are looking like a buffet of nightmares for gamers — from reimagined classics to brand-new worlds you’ll want to escape from as fast as possible. Whether you like your horror slow and creeping or loud and bloody, there’s something here that’ll keep you up at night.

Killing Floor 3 – July 24, 2025

If your idea of dealing with horror is to grab the biggest gun you can find and blast your way through it, Killing Floor 3 has you covered. The mutant Zeds are back, meaner than ever, and you can fight them solo or with up to three friends.

There are six specialist classes to choose from, each with their own style, and the upgraded M.E.A.T. system makes sure every shot, stab, and slice hits with satisfying (and messy) impact.

Cronos: The New Dawn – September 5, 2025

In the world of Cronos, humanity’s clock is almost out of time. Mutated terrors roam the earth, and your mission isn’t just to survive — it’s to burn their remains before they merge into something far worse.

The twist? You’re guided by the souls of people tied to a mysterious event called The Change. They help you… but they also haunt you. This is horror that spans decades, both in story and in how long it’ll stick with you.

Dying Light: The Beast – September 19, 2025

Kyle Crane is back, and he’s… different. Years of experimentation have left him caught between human and undead. Now he’s hunting the man responsible through Castor Woods — a place that’s already crawling with monsters before night falls.

Once the sun’s gone, things get far uglier. Survive alone or team up with friends, but don’t expect an easy ride.

Silent Hill f – September 25, 2025

Silent Hill is going somewhere new — 1960s Japan. The streets of Ebisugaoka are blanketed in fog, and Hinako Shimizu’s once-normal school life is unravelling into something far darker.

Written by famed visual novel creator Ryukishi07, Silent Hill f blends the series’ psychological dread with the chilling elegance of Japanese horror.

Little Nightmares 3 – October 10, 2025

Little Nightmares is back, and for the first time, you don’t have to wander its unsettling dreamscape alone. Two kids, Low and Alone, are trapped in the Nowhere, a place built from the worst corners of human imagination.

You’ll need to combine Low’s bow and Alone’s wrench to make it through — preferably with a co-op partner who doesn’t panic under pressure.

Crisol: Theater of Idols – 2025

Picture a Spain where faith and folklore have fused into something grotesque. That’s Crisol. You’re Gabriel, sent to the cursed island of Tormentosa to face demonic cults and living statues.

Your blood is both your health and your ammo, which forces every fight to feel like a life-or-death gamble.

Resident Evil Requiem – February 27, 2026

The ninth mainline Resident Evil heads back to Raccoon City. This time, you’re FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, whose mother was killed while digging into the Wrenwood Hotel.

It’s a return to familiar streets — and old horrors — just in time for the series’ anniversary.

Reanimal – 2026

Family bonds meet body horror in Reanimal, where two orphans fight their way through an island filled with mutated beasts and their own psychological scars.

Play it solo or in co-op, but be ready — the camera itself is designed to keep you on edge.

End of Abyss – 2026

A strange signal from deep underground pulls technician Cel into a network of tunnels where mechanical and organic nightmares blend together.

The top-down view somehow makes the claustrophobia worse, giving you a constant sense that something is right behind you.

Directive 8020 – 2026

Part of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Directive 8020 takes survival horror to a distant planet.

Five survivors are hunted by a shapeshifter, and its “Turning Points” feature lets you rewind key decisions to see how things could’ve gone differently.

ILL – TBA

In ILL, you’re trapped in a decaying fort surrounded by creatures that look like they’ve been torn straight from fever dreams.

Every fight is messy, physics-driven, and brutal. Resources are scarce, which makes every bullet feel like a choice.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival – TBA

Pinhead is back. Playing as Aidan, you’ll navigate Cenobites, cultists, and the twisted realm known as the Labyrinth to save your girlfriend Sunny — assuming you can keep your own soul intact.

Expect plenty of melee combat, ranged weapons, and unholy bargains.
