GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate Edition: Missions, Vehicles, Shops, and Price in India Compared

GTA 6 pre-orders went live today, and both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store in India already have pricing up. Standard Edition is Rs 5,999. Ultimate Edition is Rs 7,499. Now the real question is what you're actually getting for that Rs 1,500 difference.

GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate Edition: What's the Difference?

GTA 6 Price

Both PS Store and Xbox Store have the editions listed right now. Standard at Rs 5,999, Ultimate at Rs 7,499. Both come with a one-month GTA+ subscription as a pre-order bonus, which auto-renews, so cancel it if you don't want to keep paying for it.

The Standard Edition

You get the base game, which is a single-player story set in a modern Vice City. The two main characters are Jason and Lucia, a criminal duo whose easy score goes sideways and things spiral from there.

Pre-order before November 20, and you also get the Vintage Vice City Pack. That's a '55 Vapid Stanier, a garage on Ocean Beach, retro outfits for both characters, and a weapon skin that references Tommy Vercetti's look from the original Vice City. Both editions get this, so it's not a reason to go Ultimate.

The Ultimate Edition

On top of the base game, you get three extra vehicles: the '95 Grotti Cheetah, a Shitzu Squalo, and a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy. There are also personalised weapons and extra outfits for Jason and Lucia.

But the bigger thing is the story content.

Exclusive Missions and Locked Shops

The Ultimate Edition has two missions that standard players simply don't get. One is a gang compound raid in Southside Vice City. The other is a classic car restoration mission with a new character called Wyman. Both are part of the story, not side activities you'd skip anyway.

There are also shops that are just closed in the standard edition. Rideout Customs, One-Eyed Willie's mod shop, Electric Fang Tattoo, Stock 305. Not unlockable. Just not there.

Rockstar did something similar with RDR2's Ultimate Edition, which had exclusive missions too. The amount of locked content here feels bigger though.

The Ultimate Edition is digital only. No physical version of it exists.

However...

Physical Edition Warning

The standard edition has a physical box, but there's no disc inside. It's just a download code in a box. You still need to download the game. Something to keep in mind before buying it as a gift or for the collection.

Pre-loading starts November 12 for both digital and physical buyers, a week before the November 19 launch.

Platforms

PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S only. No PS4, no Xbox One, no PC at launch. The game isn't coming to older consoles at all.

Which One Should You Buy

If two extra missions and a handful of locked shops matter to you, the Ultimate at Rs 7,499 is the complete version. If you just want to play the story and don't care about the extras, Rs 5,999 for the Standard is fine. The pre-order bonus is the same either way.

Just don't buy physical expecting a disc.
