In response to the increasing concerns about addiction and crime associated with online gaming, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that the central government is contemplating regulatory measures. The discussion also touched upon celebrities endorsing gaming apps. Some leaders argued that such promotions could mislead young audiences into engaging with gambling platforms. Fadnavis urged celebrities to cease endorsing these apps and mentioned exploring legal avenues to restrict such advertisements within Maharashtra.
