PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for June 2024 Announced: SpongeBob, AEW Fight Forever, & More

Calling all PlayStation Plus subscribers! Sony has unveiled the free games you can download starting June 4th, 2024. This month's offerings cater to fans of classic gaming experiences with a retro-inspired theme.

SpongeBob Takes the Stage

Leading the pack is SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. This action platformer throws players into a hilarious adventure with everyone's favorite fry cook. The game captures the essence of the beloved Battle for Bikini Bottom with classic humor, solid platforming mechanics, and vibrant visuals.

AEW Enters the Ring

Next up is AEW Fight Forever, a wrestling game based on the All Elite Wrestling promotion. This arcade-style title brings back the nostalgia of classic wrestling games. Featuring a roster of AEW superstars and an accessible combat system, AEW Fight Forever presents an exciting alternative to the WWE 2K series. Players can choose from established stars or create their custom wrestlers.

Streets of Rage 4: A Modern Classic

Rounding out the lineup is Streets of Rage 4, a side-scrolling beat-'em-up that revives the beloved Sega Genesis franchise. Featuring hand-drawn art, combo-focused gameplay, and new modes, the game offers a faithful return to the classic titles while adding modern improvements. PlayStation Plus subscribers have until June 3rd to download May's free games, including EA Sports FC 24 (soccer fans have until June 18th), Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall.

Coinciding with June's game reveal, Sony is celebrating Days of Play 2024 with discounts on PS5 slim consoles, DualSense controllers, PlayStation VR2 headsets, and selected PS5 and PS4 games. The sale is active from May 29th to June 12th, 2024, or until stocks run out.
