Microsoft stole the limelight away from Apple WWDC by announcing the acquisition of popular social networking site LinkedIn for a whopping $26.2billion. This was not it as the company had a lot more to reveal for its consumers. Earlier today, Microsoft hosted its conference at the E3 event, where it took the wraps off a new family of new Xbox One devices. Beisdes, two new XBox, the company also announced a host of new Xbox Live features and its new lineup of games, which it calls to be the biggest in Xbox history.

Microsoft unveiled its smallest ever Xbox dubbed as One S:

One of the most important announcements at the Microsoft's conference at E3 event was the debut of the Xbox One S. It is the company's new console that is thinner and more compact. The company claims that this is 40 percent smaller, which makes it the smallest ever Xbox.

The all new Xbox dons a sleek new design, and boasts a larger hard drive, a slick paint job, and a handful of small internal improvements. It has an internal power supply, which keeps it going. To add to the feature, it supports High Dynamic Range video and gaming, and 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray movies and content streamed from content partners in including Netflix and Amazon Video.

Microsoft has launched three variants of the XBox One S, including 500GB, 1TB and a special launch edition 2TB option. As for pricing, the 2TB edition will be available in select markets starting early August for $399 (USD), and the 1TB and 500GB variants will be arriving for $349 (USD) and $299 (USD) respectively. One can also buy Xbox One Vertical Stand for $19.99 (USD).

The Microsoft Xbox One S will be available in a robot white color starting August.

Project Scorpio:

To take its fans by surprise and take on its rival Sony, Microsoft introduced not just one but two gaming consoles. The company announced that coming Holiday 2017, its Project Scorpio will be the most powerful console ever created. The new console will come with 6 teraflops of GPU to offer a premier console gaming experience.

The new Xbox will be good for true 4K gaming and high fidelity virtual reality. It will be capable to play the same library of games that all the other Xbox One models are capable of playing, though, it many of the titles for the Scorpio will have improvements due to its more powerful hardware.

New Xbox Wireless Controller:

With the new Xbox One models, Microsoft also unveiled new wireless controllers that boast textured grip and sleek, streamlined design. Moreover, it comes with Bluetooth support for easy and quick wireless connection to Windows 10 PCs and tablets. Microsoft also mentioned that the new XBox Controller will offer increased range for better user experience.

The new Xbox Wireless Controller is included with all Xbox One S consoles. For those who want to make an individual purchase, can get it for $59.99 (USD).

Microsoft gives its Xbox users freedom to create their own official Xbox Wireless Controllers with more than 8 million color variations. One can choose to customize the controller body, D-pad thumbsticks, A, B, X and Y buttons, and more.

Microsoft brings a good news for the Gears of War fans! At the sideline of its new XBox One unveiling, the company also announced a pro-level controller that is designed in collaboration with The Coalition. The new Limited Edition Wireless Controller features laser-etched claw marks and a battle-weathered design.

Bringing gamers together through Xbox Live:

Microsoft also shared how it is working towards bringing Xbox Live to all devices and networks - PC, console, virtual reality and mobile - to offer a unified experience for its gamers. The company announced clubs on Xbox Live to let gamers connect and create private communities with other gamers who are their likes, with similar play styles and personal interests. Moreover, it lets gamers look out for other gamers who are available to play multiplayer match right away.

It also has a new online tournaments platform and cross-play game play on Xbox One and Windows 10. One of the interesting additions that would be made with the Xbox update this summer is that it will feature top PC games (Win32) in Xbox Live, with more added every month.

Also, the company is enabling Language Region Independence to let gamers choose any supported language on Xbox One, regardless of their location.

Xbox Play Anywhere:

Microsoft also announced that its new Xbox Play Anywhere program will allow gamers buy a game once and play it on both their Windows 10 PC and Xbox One consoles with shared progress, game saves and achievements. Moreover, every new Microsoft Studios title that is displayed at the Xbox E3 2016 briefing will support Xbox Play Anywhere, with more titles on the way.
