AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Released: What’s New?
AMD has released the 2020 version of its Adrenalin software for select GPUs with a new user interface and additional features. I have been using this software for the last few weeks, and the overall features and options offered by Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition are a lot better than the previous edition.
Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Features
The new user interface comes in red and translucent black color theme. On the home page, it shows the last played game with the number of minutes and the average FPS. There is also an option to adjust the graphics quality of the game without opening the actual title. The bottom left portion of the home page has a media and capture option, where one can capture screenshots, record in-game footages and even make an instant GIF.
There is also a new option called upgrade adviser that recommends a new CPU or GPU depending on the games installed on the PC. Again, do note that the recommended CPUs and GPUs will be from AMD itself.
On the gaming menu, it shows all the installed games on the PC. Upon clicking on a specific game it opens a new window that lets users customize the graphics quality and also allows users to utilize some of the AMD software tweaks like AMD Anti-Lag, AMD Chill, AMD Boost, and AMD Enhanced Sync, which reduces the visual tearing and lag.
The new software also has a menu for streaming. This menu allows users to select a service that they like to stream (Twitch, YouTube, Restream, etcetera) and also offers additional control over microphone, camera, and push to talk. There is also an option to select full screen or regional streaming with a dedicated screen editor.
Last but definitely not the least, the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition has a performance menu that shows the real-time status of the GPU, GPU, and VRAM including parameters like utilization percentage, clock speed, and temperature. It also offers GPU tuning, where users can overclock or undervolt GPU with auto-tuning or they can manually adjust these parameters as well.
