BGMI 4.5 Update Brings Naruto to India for the First Time: Voice-Activated Jutsu, Kurama Boss Fight, and More
Krafton India has confirmed Naruto is coming to Battlegrounds Mobile India as part of the Version 4.5 update, running from July 16 to September 14, 2026. Krafton is calling it BGMI's biggest anime collaboration to date, and unlike a typical cosmetic-only crossover, this one reshapes parts of the map and adds entirely new combat abilities based on the anime's signature jutsu.

Erangel and Livik Turn Into the Hidden Leaf Village
The collaboration transforms sections of Erangel and Livik into a world modelled on Konohagakure, Naruto's home village, blending it with the existing BGMI map rather than replacing it outright. Locations players can explore include:
- Hidden Leaf Village – the central hub, rebuilt with authentic ninja-style architecture
- Hokage Rock – the mountain with the carved faces overlooking the village
- Ichiraku Ramen Shop – Naruto's go-to ramen spot, recreated for in-game interactions
- Naruto's Apartment – a walkable recreation of his home from the anime
- Ninja Academy – where the show's shinobi training begins
- Great Naruto Bridge, Chunin Exam Arena, and Valley of the End – locations tied to some of Naruto's biggest rivalries and story moments
- Underground Secret Rooms and Urban Renovations – existing BGMI zones reworked with a Hidden Leaf aesthetic
Beyond just exploring, there are scripted moments built in too: a Valley of the End cinematic recreating Naruto and Sasuke's final confrontation, a Kurama Memory Space, a Group Photo Mode with themed backdrops, an anime-style in-flight sequence at the start of each match, a Ninja Gathering Ceremony, and Naruto-themed lobby music.
New Combat Abilities Based on Naruto's Jutsu
This is where the collaboration goes beyond cosmetics. Players get access to a set of jutsu-based abilities that change how combat actually plays out:
- Rasengan – Naruto's signature close-range attack
- Chidori – a fast, high-impact forward charge
- Flying Raijin Jutsu – near-instant teleportation across the battlefield
- Great Fireball Jutsu – area-of-effect fire damage
- Shadow Clone Jutsu – creates decoy clones to confuse enemies
- Earth Style Mud Wall – a defensive barrier ability
- Reanimation Jutsu – a rare ability that can bring a downed teammate back into the fight
- Tailed Beast Cloak and Ninja Run – combat buffs and enhanced movement speed drawing on Kurama's power
Alongside these, Krafton is adding new game modes: a multi-phase Kurama Boss Battle against the Nine-Tailed Fox, a Nine-Tails Special Match, solo duels set in the Valley of the End, and a cooperative Defend Konoha mode. There's also a first for BGMI collaborations here, Voice-Activated Ninjutsu, which lets players trigger jutsu abilities just by speaking into their microphone.
Cosmetics and Collectibles
The collaboration brings a fairly large collection of Naruto-themed items:
- Naruto Gold Spin – includes Naruto Sage Mode, Naruto Six Paths Mode, an upgradeable Nine-Tails Fury AUG skin, and returning fan-favourite cosmetics
- Naruto Mini Royale Pass – Red-tier and Pink-tier character sets earned through seasonal progression, plus a Naruto-themed Monster Truck
- Naruto Collectibles – an ultra-rare Kurama Card, individual cards for Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura to complete Team 7, and a Blazing Sun Karambit Card
With BGMI surpassing 260 million downloads in India, this is shaping up to be one of the game's biggest collaborations yet, joining other additions like the already confirmed Spider-Man crossover in the 4.5 update.
