Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Hits Xbox Cloud Gaming on Game Pass Ultimate from October 25

Microsoft has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be accessible through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Game Pass Ultimate members upon its release. This eagerly awaited title is set to launch on October 25 for both PC and consoles. Previously, it was confirmed that the game would be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

In addition to Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, released last year, and the Battle Royale game Call of Duty: Warzone will also receive Cloud Gaming support on the same date. All three titles will be accessible to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers via Xbox Cloud Gaming starting October 25. This marks a significant milestone as it's the first time the Call of Duty series will be part of Microsoft's cloud gaming service.

Cloud Gaming Expansion

With Xbox Cloud Gaming, Game Pass Ultimate members can enjoy Black Ops 6 across various platforms supporting the service. These include mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, select Samsung TVs, and Meta Quest devices. The service's expansion to Amazon Fire TV was made possible with the Xbox app in July. It supports devices like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023).

Subscribers can connect Bluetooth-enabled controllers to these devices for a seamless gaming experience. The inclusion of Black Ops 6 in Game Pass is expected to enhance subscriptions significantly. Call of Duty remains one of the most popular video game franchises globally. Its availability on Game Pass is likely to attract more users to Microsoft's gaming subscription service.

Game Pass Titles

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 had already joined Xbox Game Pass earlier this year on July 24. Released last year for PC and consoles, it continues to be a favourite among gamers. The addition of these titles highlights Microsoft's commitment to expanding its library with popular games.

The integration of cloud gaming into Amazon Fire TV with the Xbox app allows users greater flexibility in accessing their favourite games. By pairing compatible controllers with supported devices, players can enjoy a wide range of titles from the Xbox library without needing a console or PC. As Black Ops 6 becomes available later this month, it will be the first Call of Duty game to debut on Game Pass at launch.

This collaboration between Microsoft and Activision was confirmed in May, promising an exciting addition for subscribers eager to explore new content. This strategic move by Microsoft not only broadens access but also enhances user engagement by offering high-demand games through its cloud service.
