This Popular PC and Console Game is Coming to Apple Arcade Next Month
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is heading to Apple Arcade on February 5, 2026. One of the most well-known PC strategy franchises will soon be playable on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac as Civilization VII Arcade Edition.
For a series that has traditionally lived on desktops and laptops, this is an interesting shift. The game has the same ideology as the PC version; it is slow, methodical, and built around long-term decision-making. In Civilization VII, the idea is pretty much what the series has always been about. You build cities, manage resources, and slowly grow your empire over time, with the goal of becoming a world power — whether that’s through military might, economic strength, or a bit of everything.

What’s different with the Apple Arcade version is that it’s been built specifically with touch controls in mind, which should make navigating menus and managing cities feel more natural on an iPhone or iPad. Being an Apple Arcade title also means there are no ads or in-app purchase pop-ups getting in the way, so the experience stays clean and uninterrupted.
That said, there are a few clear trade-offs. Unlike the PC and console versions, the Arcade edition won’t support multiplayer at launch and won’t include the downloadable content typically available on other platforms. There’s also a hardware catch. Large and huge map sizes are only accessible on devices with more than 8GB of RAM, which significantly narrows the list of iPhones that can actually run the game at its fullest scale.
More Games Arriving on Apple Arcade in February
Civilization VII Arcade Edition is part of a broader February update for Apple Arcade. Apple has also confirmed new titles like Retrocade, Felicity’s Door, and I Love Hue Too+ will join the service around the same time, adding a mix of arcade-style and puzzle-focused games to the lineup.

Whether Civilization VII on Apple Arcade delivers the same depth longtime fans expect will only be clear once people spend real time with it. But its arrival alone is a sign of how Apple Arcade is evolving from a service once seen as casual-only to one that’s increasingly comfortable hosting deeper, more demanding games.
In India, Apple Arcade is priced at Rs 99 per month and includes a one-month free trial. Buyers of a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV also get three months of Apple Arcade access for free.
The service is additionally bundled with Apple One, which starts at Rs 195 per month for the Individual plan and goes up to Rs 365 per month for the Family plan, both offering a one-month trial.
