Nvidia Introduces GTX 1660 Super GPU To Amplify Gaming Performance
Nvidia has launched the new mid-tier GTX 1660 Super GPU, which is the successor to the GTX 1060. This GPU is claimed to offer 2x performance compared to the previous generation 10 series GPUs on battle royale titles like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends.
The Nvidia GTX 1660 Super is based on Turing architecture with GDDR6 video memory for faster and efficient graphics processing. The company is also releasing its Game Ready Driver from day one for AAA gaming titles for optimal performance at 1440p or 2K resolution.
The GPU also supports Nvidia's anti-frame tearing technology -- G-Sync which will further enhance the gameplay when connected to a G-Sync enabled monitor. The new Nvidia control panel now supports games based on DirectX 9, DirectX 11, and DirectX 12 with an option to adjust sharpening sliders as per the game's requirement.
Along with the GTX 1660 Super, the company has also launched the GTX 1650 which is meant for 1080p gaming and it also has GDDR6 memory that runs at 12Gbps with a boost clock speed of 1.8GHz.
