Xiaomi's Smart Pressure Cooker with Wi-fi is Coming to your Kitchen! What Else?
Yesterday, the Chinese handset maker Xiaomi announced its new "Mi Ecosystem" sub-brand, that covers a range of products manufactured by Xiaomi's ecosystem partners, in daily life. To build this ecosystem, the company has invested in 5 companies that design and manufacture products beyond its three core product categories: smartphones, smart TVs and smart routers.
Among these, 29 companies including Zhimi and Viomi have been incubated by Xiaomi from their founding. Till now, over 20 Mi Ecosystem companies have launched products and won 28 international design awards in total.

Further, the company has announced rice pressure cooker, 2nd Gen Mi Water purifier, Bluetooth speaker and Mi Router 3. Without wasting any time, let's go and have a look at the Mi products in depth:
Now works with Wi-Fi!
This is the first product under the new "Mi Ecosystem". This device comes with three core technologies, which is pressure control, heating method and the lining material. Further, this cooker is Wi-Fi enabled smart gadget that can be controlled via the Mi Home app. It currently supports more than 200 brands of rice, and this will be expanded in the future. Users can also set their personal preferences within the app.
The app also comes with other recipes that can be used with Mi Induction Heating Pressure Rice Cooker, including brown rice, crispy rice and even cakes. Moreover, the cooker employs a magnetic relief valve to precisely control the pressure inside the rice cooker to 1.2 times the atmospheric pressure. You can get hands on the Mi Pressure Cooker at RMB 999 (approx Rs. 10,200).
7 hours of continuous playback
This speaker supports Bluetooth 4.1 and juiced with the 1200mAh battery, which is expected to offers 7 hours of continuous playback. Coming to the form factor, this speaker measures 60.0mm x 60.0mm x 93.3mm. Further, this speaker comes with front LED light which acts an indicator.
Further, the company has also integrated built-in microphone for hands-free calls, which supports 10m of connection distance. The Mi Bluetooth speaker comes at a price of 129 yuan (approx Rs. 1,320).
Purifies up to 76 barrels of bottled water every day
The Mi Water Purifier uses an RO (Reverse Osmosis) technology with four layers of purification filtration system that removes water rust, bacteria and unpleasant odors. As per the company, the Mi Water Purifier 2 can purify up to 76 barrels of bottled water every day. Also, the water flow rate on the purifier is 1 litre per minute.
This device comes employed with Wi-Fi support and also informs about the water quality of the tap water via the app on both Android and iOS device. Meanwhile, the Mi Water Purifier 2 carries a price tag of 1999 yuan (approx Rs. 20,500).
Offers three times faster connectivity
Xiaomi also announced Mi Router 3, with four antenna design helping the user to get strong signal strength. This device supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and comes with inbuilt 128MB Super Flash, which offers three times faster connectivity.
In an attempt to enhance the performance of the router, the company has employed four external omnidirectional, multi-element high-gain antenna. The Mi Router costs around 149 yuan (approx Rs. 1,500).
