These new smart speakers from Google will be available for sale online from 2 PM today. These are not restricted to the online market as the retail stores such as Reliance Digital, Poorvika, Sangeetha, Croma Retail and a few others will also sell these smart speakers. These speakers come with six months of access to Google Play music for free and speak offers from Saavn and Gaana.

The Hindi language support will be rolled out to the Google Home and Home Mini speakers later. If you don't remember, recently Google Assistant received the Hindi support and it might not take a long time for the same to be rolled out to the smart speakers.

Google's Home and Home Mini will compete with Amazon Echo lineup of speakers based on Amazon's Alexa voice service launched in India in the last year at similar price points. Google Home smart speakers can provide real-time answers to a slew of questions. These devices can be used for home automation, which could be the future. Also, the smart speakers can be used to locate your lost or stolen smartphone. You can also set reminders, control music playback, control the connected gadgets, and do a lot more than you can imagine with these new smart speakers.

These smart speakers from Google can be activated by the command "Ok Google" and users can ask weather reports, news updates, fun facts, details about a place, location, education questions and more. Powered by Google Assistant, these smart speakers can also be asked for the horoscope. Google Assistant can control Netflix if you use a Chromecast on the TV. It can also work with Android TV. The company is yet to reveal the complete list of supported devices in India.
