Sony PS5 Pro Rumored Launch Timeline

While Sony hasn't officially announced the PS5 Pro's launch date, it is speculated that the console could arrive by the end of the year. To recall, the PS4 debuted in November 2013, followed by the PS4 Pro three years later, in November 2016.

The PS5 arrived in late 2020, and if Sony continues the same tradition, we can expect the PS5 Pro to launch in November 2023. However, an Insider Gaming report claims that the console is still in active development and could launch in late 2024.

The report goes on to state that the PS5 Slim will launch later this year. As conflicting reports about the PS5 Pro launch timeline continue to surface, it still remains unclear when the next-gen PlayStation Pro console will debut.

Sony PS5 Pro Rumored Features

The Sony PS5 Pro will be more powerful than its predecessor, powered by an upgraded AMD chip. The improved CPU will likely enable a smoother gaming experience and faster game loading. The PS5 Pro could also get a bigger storage capacity at 1TB, a big upgrade from the PS5's 825GB.

A report by YouTuber RedGamingTech indicates that the PS5 Pro could be twice as fast as the PS5. And with ray tracing enabled, the upcoming console could be 2.5 times more powerful than the PS5. Additionally, the CPU will allow for 4K and 8K gaming at a high fps.

With the PS5 Pro touted to be more powerful than the PS5, we can expect it to generate more heat as well. According to reports, the console may get an upgraded cooling system with advanced water cooling to keep temperatures stable, improve performance, and prevent thermal throttling.
