Apple WWDC 2025: What to Expect?
Apple is unlikely to announce any new hardware at WWDC 2025. Instead, the focus will be on big software changes. One major rumour is that Apple may start naming its operating systems by year instead of version numbers. For example, iOS 19 might be renamed to iOS 26. This change could also apply to iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS.
This year, iOS and iPadOS are also expected to get a fresh new look. Inspired by visionOS from the Apple Vision Pro headset, the new design may include glass-like effects, translucent layers, and rounded icons.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has also shared that Apple is working on several AI tools, but most of them may not be ready this year. However, Apple might let third-party app developers use its AI models (LLMs) to add smart features to their own apps.
