Apple iOS 18 Beta Now Available for Public, Here Is How You Can Install on Your iPhone

Apple has unveiled its latest operating system, iOS 18, at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. Following this announcement, the company introduced iOS 18 Developer Beta 1 and Beta 2.

Now, Apple has rolled out the third developer beta of iOS 18 with new features. Additionally, the first public beta versions of iPadOS 18, macOS Sonoma, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and HomePod Software 18 are now available.

How to Install iOS 18 on iPhones

Step 1: Interested users can download iOS 18 public beta on their compatible devices by signing up at beta.apple.com.

Step 2: Once registered for the public beta program, go to your iPhone's Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.

Step 3: Now, select iOS 18 Public Beta and hit install to experience iOS 18 Public Beta.

It's important to note that beta versions may have bugs and issues. Therefore, backing up your device before installation is highly recommended. Users can also install public betas of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18 on the Apple Beta Software Program page using their Apple ID.

iOS 18 Features

The iOS 18 beta introduces support for RCS messaging via the Messages app and allows home screen customization. Users can place icons and widgets anywhere on their home screens. The Photos app has a new layout in this version. Additionally, it supports third-party controls in the Control Center and offers dark mode variants for app icons.

However, Apple's AI Intelligence features are not included in this public beta, which is expected to be available in future updates but will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
