Xiaomi is all set to introduce the Redmi K80 series in China later today. The line-up will include the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro, the latter of which could become the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone, a title that is currently held by the Realme GT 7 Pro.
The Redmi K80 series is also confirmed to feature 2K AMOLED displays, triple-camera setups on the back, large silicon carbon batteries with super-fast charging support, and the latest HyperOS 2.0 software.

The Redmi K80 series launch in China is taking place later today at 07:00 pm local time and 04:30 IST. Those interested in watching the Redmi K80 series launch event live can do so on the company's website in China and the official Redmi Weibo account.
The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are expected to make their global debut as the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Pro, respectively. However, only the vanilla Poco F7 will arrive in India.
The Redmi K80 Pro will also be the most expensive in the series. The Redmi K80 Pro price in China could fall anywhere between CNY 3,599 to CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 41,900 to Rs 46,600). To recall, the Redmi K70 Pro price in China started from CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 38,400).

Xiaomi has officially revealed the Redmi K80 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which achieves an impressive AnTuTu score of 3,194,766. Designed for gamers, it includes a D1 gaming chip, dual-loop 3D ice cooling, and Rage Engine 4.0, enabling 120fps gaming at 2K resolution. Xiaomi describes this feature as "Super Resolution and Super Frame Concurrency for All Games."
The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, marking a significant improvement over its predecessor. The Redmi K80 Pro also boasts a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS, a 32MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto-macro unit.

A 20MP selfie camera completes the setup. Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, IP68/IP69 ratings, and a 2K AMOLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will run Android 15-based HyperOS 2.

The Redmi K80 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It will feature the same display as the Redmi K80 Pro. The phone could pack a 6,500 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. The Redmi K80 will feature the same materials and IP rating as the Redmi K80 Pro.
For optics, the vanilla K80 will also feature a triple-camera setup with a similar primary sensor. However, it will get a downgraded 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro unit. Up front, the Redmi K80 is expected to get a 20MP selfie camera. It will run Android 15-based HyperOS 2. Both phones will also sport an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
