How to Password Protect Your Email on iPhone and iPad?

In order to protect the messages you send from the device from being accessed by someone else: 

Step 1: Select ‘Add another email address you own’ from the ‘Send mail as’ section.

Step 2: Provide information like account name, address etc.

Step 3: Uncheck the box adjacent to ‘Treat as an alias’.

Step 4: Provide a ‘Reply-to address’.

Step 5: Click on Next Step.

Step 6: Click on Send Verification.

Step 7: Provide the code obtained on the address which you have selected to send mail from.

Step 8: Go to ‘Send mail as’ section .

Step 9: Click on Make default.

Step 10: Add the new account to your iPad or iPhone by going to the settings denoted as ‘Mail,Contacts, Calendar' and clicking on Add account.

Step 11: Choose the service.

Step 12: Enter credentials like account info, name and mail address, password and description.

Step 13: Click Next for verifying the account.

How to Password Protect Your Email on iPhone and iPad?

The last step will be to disable all other existing accounts on the device so that no one can access the mails which are not password protected. This can be done by going to the ‘Mail,Contacts, Calendar' settings and remove each mail account one by one. You should ensure that the send-only account you created is not deleted in this process. Also turn off the account’s mail setting and click on Done. 

Only ‘Send from iPad’ account will be currently active. Sign in to the new account using a dedicated app or browser from now onwards.
