OnePlus One Gets Official Cyanogen OS 12 Update With Bug-Fixes: How To Install
The latest Cyanogen OS 12 update for the OnePlus One is now available for download. The update comes with the latest build number YNG1TAS2I3 with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system. This new update brings a couple of minor bug fixes.
The YNG1TAS2I3 update is rolling out to slowly to the OnePlus One devices, but for those who do not want to wait any longer and get update right now can follow this tutorial.

OnePlus has officially confirmed that most common problems with the OnePlus One has been resolved with this new Cyanogen OS 12 update. The company has also confirmed that the Android 5.1 will also be available for the smartphone in near future. As per the official changelog, this update will fix the following bugs.
- Touchscreen sensitivity
- Bluetooth connectivity with in-car system
- MMS sending on several carriers
For those who have installed custom ROM or stock firmwate on Android devices, than installing this update on OnePlus One is no different. But for beginners, read all the points and installation steps carefully before updating the handset.

Points To Remember
This tutorial is only to installing Cyanogen OS 12 for the OnePlus One. Installing the ROM on other regional variants of OnePlus One or on any other devices could brick the device.
Ensure the OnePlus One is running on stock firmware and has stock recovery.
Backup all the important data, additional files, apps and settings. Installing ROM on the OnePlus One will wipe all the data.
Ensure the smartphone have at-least 80 percent of battery charge to avoid power off during installation process.
Make sure USB drivers of OnePlus One have been installed on the PC.

Complete Steps to Install Cyanogen OS 12 Build YNG1TAS2I3 On OnePlus One
Step 1: Connect and mount your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable.
Step 2: Copy and paste the Cyanogen OS 12 ROM to the SD card root. Do not copy the files to phone's internal memory or in any other folder.
Step 3: Turn off the smartphone and disconnect from the PC.
Step 4: Now get into the Recovery Mode, by press and holding Volume Down and Power Buttons together.
Step 5: Once you are in the recovery mode, perform full data wipe by selecting 'wipe data/factory reset' option in the recovery mode. Use Volume keys to navigate and Power button to select, while operating in the recovery mode.
Step 6: Clear cache memory of the OnePlus One by selecting 'wipe cache partition'.
Step 7: Go back to main menu of recovery mode and select 'advance' and choose 'wipe dalvik cache' to perform complete wipe. The step is optional but it is recommended to clear dalvik cache to avoid boot loops and other errors during installation.
Step 8: Now go back to recovery mode main menu and choose Apply Updates
Step 9: Select the ROM, which you have downloaded and copied to the SDcard root in the earlier steps.
Step 10: After the installation completes, reboot the smartphone from the recovery mode.
Now the smartphone will take about 5 minutes to boot for the first time with new update installed. Wait till the device starts. Once the smartphone starts, you will see the new Cyanogen logo that confirms your OnePlus One is now running the new Cyanogen OS 12 update.
