The Android platform comes with a great feature that has the ability to trace, locate and wipe the data inside like messages, images, and videos remotely. However, you can track your mobile by using the below steps.

Step 1: First, you need to enable the Android Device Manager feature! You can do this by heading on to Google Settings >> Security >> Android Device Manager. Then tap on 'allow remote lock and erase'
Step 2: Meanwhile, you can locate your smartphone using Android Device Manager app or by visiting the Android Device Manager website. This feature will attempt to locate your missing device and send the location of your device.

Step 3: After it gets located it will provide you with two options -- Ring, Lock, and Erase. Also, choosing the Lock option can lock your smartphone remotely.
Step 4: The erase option will wipe your smartphone data and will perform a full factory reset. It will delete all setting, music, photos and apps. But, not the SD card.
