Pokémon Go is the buzz all over the world as it is a lot of fun to play the game and hunt the Pokémons. Of course, it is great to play the augmented reality game all the time, but one thing that is definite is it drains the battery life of your phone to a great extent.

Enable Battery Save Mode on Pokémon Go
There is a battery saver feature in the Pokémon Go game. Thankfully, this feature makes it pretty easy to get more battery life on your smartphone. To enable this mode, you need to open the Pokémon Go app and tap on the Settings button that is at the top right corner of the screen. In Settings, you will get an option 'Battery Saver'. You need to tap on the same and select it.
Turn Off Sounds, Vibration, Music
Once you have enabled the battery saver mode on Pokémon Go, you need to go to the Settings and turn off the sound effects, music as well as vibration. These will definitely improve the battery life and prevent from draining your smartphone's battery too fast.

Reduce the Screen Brightness
The well-known fact is to reduce the screen brightness to improve the battery life. You can do the same thing to make sure that the battery does not drain too fast even while you are playing Pokémon Go.
Use Offline Maps
Pokémon Go makes use of Google Maps to get the data to your smartphone. To do so, the game uses your data connection when you are out and this will definitely drain your smartphone's battery while you are indulged in playing the Pokémon Go.

To avoid battery drain, you can download the Google Maps for offline use that will improve the Pokémon Go performance. To download the Google Maps for offline use, you must choose the Settings menu and tap on Offline areas. Then press the + icon and use the map to draw a square area that you would like to download and hit Download.
Get a battery pack
If these methods fail work in enhancing the battery backup of your phone, you can purchase a portable power pack separately and plug it into your smartphone's USB or Lightning port and change it whenever needed.
