Know about PUK Code

The PUK Code is a type of security that is needed to avoid unauthorized usage of your SIM card. It is a code with eight numeric digits and it is provided by Reliance Jio.

You can change the PIN code

The code comes with a 4-digit PIN code that is not related to the mobile security, but it adds a layer of security to prevent your SIM card from any unauthorized use. It can be changed as well. By default, the service provider will have a PIN code assigned and you can modify it. You will be asked to key in the code while switching the mobile.

Its for security purposes

Its possible to prevent the unauthorized usage of your SIM card with the use of the PIN code. That's because, if someone enters a wrong PIN for three times, it will ask the PUK Code and if this is typed wrong for over 10 times, the SIM card will be blocked forever. If your Jio SIM gets blocked, the option left is to replace the SIM card.

Follow these steps to get the PUK code of Reliance Jio SIM

You need to call the tollfree number 1800 889 9999 and choose the language and follow the instructions to talk to the Jio customer care representative. Then, you need to request for the PUK code. The representative will verify your details and you will be given the PUK code. Just enter it when it is required and set a new PIN. Later, turn off the PUK Code in the Security Settings.
