Top 8 4G Data and Internet Plans Announced in India in September 2016
With the launch of the Reliance Jio services in the Indian telecom sector, the tariff war has begun. All the other telcos such as Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, and Idea are launching a slew of offers and plans to counterfeit Jio's free and cheap data plans.
Reliance Jio launched its 4G services on September 5 and announced that the Welcome Offer will be open till December 31, 2016. As per this plan, customers can get free and unlimited data, and voice calls.

Soon after the launch of Jio 4G services, BSNL announced that it will launch plans that will match the Reliance Jio plans in terms of tariff. Also, Airtel deployed the new carrier integration technology to improve the speed and connectivity of 4G networks.

Here, we have compiled a list of 10 such internet and data plans and offers announced by the telcos in September. Take a look.
Undoubtedly, the first on the list is Reliance Jio 4G service. It was Reliance Jio that started the tariff war in India. The company came up with tariff plans ranging from Rs. 149 and Rs. 4,999. In order to compete with Jio, Airtel announced a new 4G plan that bundles unlimited 4G data for 90 days at a price of Rs. 1,495. This is a promotional offer announced by Airtel to attract the 3G users to use the 4G services. However, it isn not truly unlimited as it comes with a data cap of 30 GB after which the speed will drop to 64 kbps. Get to know more about this plan from here. Lately, Vodafone announced an offer in which users who use a 4G smartphone that has not been used with a Vodafone SIM in the past six months can get free 9 GB of data on recharging 1 GB of data. This additional 9 GB data can be used for up to three months and only between 12 AM and 6 AM. Get to know more about this plan from here. BSNL announced a new broadband plan called BB 249 that is a promotional plan meant only for the new users. It will bundle unlimited data for six months at a price of Rs. 249. The data speed will be 2 Mbps for 2 GB of data and will drop to 1 Mbps later. After this plan, users will be migrated automatically to the BB 449 plan. Get to know more about this plan from here. Vodafone launched itsd SuperNet 4G services in a few states this month and it announced that the customers can get to enjoy 20 GB of 4G data at a price of Rs. 999. The service provider also offers free upgrade to the 4G service. Airtel announced the launch of a Mega Saver Pack for its prepaid customers. As per this pack, by paying Rs. 1,498, the users can get 1 GB of 3G or 4G data with a validity of 28 days. After using this data, users can get 1 GB of data at a meager price of Rs. 51. This offer is applicable for a period of one year. Likewise, the Rs. 748 pack offers additional data reharges at Rs. 99 per GB of data and it is applicable for six months. BSNL announced a new 3G data plan for a price of Rs. 1,099 and it also doubled the data usage limit of some of the existing plans. Also, the service provider slashed the data rates by 67 percent. This plan is valid for a period of 1 month. Airtel came up with a Jackpot offer under which it will give 5 GB of free 4G data for those users who download the myAirtel app on their mobile.
