ACT Fibernet Upgrades Broadband Plans In A Bid To Challenge Reliance Jio
ACT Fibernet has upgraded its broadband plans in Chennai. After this revision, the company is providing 50Mbps speed over its existing 30Mbps speed plan. Aiming to take on JioFiber, the company has revised all five plans namely --ACT Basic, ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Thunder, and ACT Incredible.
The first and the basic plan is now offering 50Mbps speed at Rs. 799. The ACT Storm plan is providing 200Mbps speed from 175Mbps at Rs. 1,099. While ACT Lightning has been upgraded to 250 Mbps speed as against 200 Mbps speed, and this plan is priced at Rs. 1,299. Likewise, ACT Thunder now provides 300 Mbps speed from 250 Mbps speed at Rs. 1,499. Lastly, ACT Incredible has been upgraded to 350 Mbps speed from 300 Mbps speed limit at Rs. 1,999.
On the other hand, the company is offering a cashback of Rs. 350 per month on the internet bill. ACT Fibernet has also joined hands with Netflix for its five plans i.e ACT Lightning Entertainment, ACT Incredible Entertainment, ACT GIGA Entertainment, ACT Storm Entertainment, and ACT Blast Promo Entertainment.
Under this partnership, the internet service provider is offering Netflix for six months. The offer is currently available in Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad. To access these services, users first need to their Netflix account to ACT Fibernet. To recall, the company partnered with ZEE5 an OTT platform, to expand its OTT offerings. Under this partnership, the company is providing access to the premium content of ZEE5. Besides, first-time users get a one-month free subscription through ACT Fibernet.
Almost all internet service providers are joining hands with the OTT platform, to attract new users. In fact, the OTT space in India is growing tremendously because of original content and the improvement in 4G speed.
