Apple has released the trailer for 'Carpool Karaoke: The Series'
Apple purchased the series in 2016 and the new season will make its debut on August 8, 2017.
Apple has shared a new trailer for its upcoming television show 'Carpool Karaoke: The Series'. The trailer for the original series shows several celebrities including Will Smith, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Taraji P. Henson, LeBron James and others.
The original series is based on Carpool karaoke segment that featured on "The Late Late Show with James Corden". Apple purchased the series in mid-2016. Besides, talking about the new series, unlike the 'Carpool Karaoke' segment from "The Late Late Show with James Corden," each episode from the original series will have a new host. New episodes will be aired every Thursday.
Interestingly, the new television show from Apple will feature 16 episodes, 30-minutes long each. Each episode will cast pairs of celebrities sharing a ride in a car while they sing songs to Karaoke.
The Carpool Karaoke segment from the James Corden show became a phenomenon and gathered millions of viewers from around the globe. The videos also received an overwhelming response on YouTube recording 3,50,000 views every hour. Several celebrities were part of the segment which was hosted by James Corden himself and each segment lasted not more than 13 minutes. Apple is bringing the phenomenon back with an extended length. As already mentioned, the show will now last for 30 minutes.
Apple will debut "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" on Tuesday, August 8 in more than 100 countries. However, it will be limited to Apple Music subscribers only.
