The ChatGPT app has achieved a significant milestone by expanding its global reach to 11 additional countries. After its initial release on iOS in the United States, OpenAI has made the app available in various nations including France, the UK, Jamaica, Korea, Ireland, Nicaragua, Albania, Croatia, and more.
The news of this expansion was shared by Mira Murati, OpenAI's CTO, through a tweet, highlighting the app's availability in these countries and hinting at further expansions to come.

Availability in 11 Additional Countries
The recent expansion has opened the doors for ChatGPT users in various nations, welcoming them to experience the power of this advanced chatbot from their smartphones. The list of countries where the ChatGPT app is now accessible includes Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Unfortunately, India, a country where ChatGPT Plus was introduced earlier this year, is not part of the current expansion. However, OpenAI aims to reach out to more countries in the near future.
Features of the ChatGPT App
The ChatGPT app brings a seamless user experience to mobile devices, mirroring the interaction one would typically have with ChatGPT on web browsers. The app's interface resembles a messaging application, providing users with a familiar and intuitive environment. Typing text at the bottom of the screen allows users to engage with the chatbot effortlessly.

OpenAI has gone a step further by integrating its open-source speech recognition system, Whisper, into the app, enabling users to interact with ChatGPT through voice prompts.
An Android Version Is in the Works
Currently, the ChatGPT app is available exclusively on iOS. However, OpenAI has reassured users that an Android version is in the works, ensuring accessibility to a broader range of mobile users.
For ChatGPT Plus subscribers, the mobile app offers access to the power of GPT-4, the next-generation language model developed by OpenAI. Subscribers can expect faster response times and an even more impressive conversational experience.
ChatGPT Can Now Browse the Web
Last week, OpenAI took to Twitter to share a noteworthy announcement regarding the introduction of web browsing and Plugins for all ChatGPT Plus users. This exciting update has already been implemented, marking a significant transition from the alpha stage to the beta stage. With this implementation, ChatGPT gains the capability to access the internet and make use of a wide array of over 70 third-party plugins.
