FASTag Annual Pass Now Available For Private Vehicles: Pricing Eligibility, and Benefits Explained

The FASTag annual pass is now available for private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. This pass is not applicable for commercial vehicles. It offers up to 200 toll-free crossings on national highways and expressways for a year, priced at Rs 3,000. The plan aims to cut down toll costs significantly, reducing them to Rs 15–Rs 20 per crossing from the usual Rs 70–Rs 100.

To apply for the FASTag annual pass, visit the Rajmarg Yatra App or NHAI/MoRTH websites. Enter your FASTag ID and vehicle details, then pay Rs 3,000 using digital payment methods. Activation occurs within two hours, confirmed via SMS. Ensure your vehicle has an active FASTag linked to its Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) and affixed to the windshield.

FASTag Annual Pass Eligibility

This scheme is exclusively for private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans listed in the VAHAN database. Commercial vehicles like trucks and buses are excluded from this offer. The annual pass is optional; those who prefer can continue using their existing FASTag system for regular toll payments at standard rates.

FASTag Annual Pass Validity and Benefits

The annual pass remains valid for one year from activation or until 200 trips are completed, whichever comes first. After reaching either limit, it reverts to a regular FASTag. Users must renew the pass annually or after completing 200 trips to continue enjoying its benefits.

The annual pass can be used at National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) toll plazas only. It does not cover state highways or roads managed by local authorities. Parking facilities also do not accept this pass; users must pay regular fees in these areas.

By opting for this plan, commuters can save up to 80% per trip on toll expenses. Additionally, it helps reduce congestion at toll plazas by minimizing queue times. This initiative is part of efforts to streamline travel on major roadways across India.
