Microsoft Faces Second Global Outage in July After CrowdStrike Debacle: 365 Users Report Access Issues

Microsoft's Mitigation Efforts

To mitigate the impact, Microsoft has rerouted user requests and is closely monitoring the situation to ensure resolution. Users are advised to check their status page for updates. The latest outage was detected after a surge in user reports of problems with Outlook and other applications on DownDetector on Tuesday.

Previous Outage Causes

An alert regarding "network infrastructure" appeared on Microsoft's service status website on Tuesday, indicating that Microsoft Azure access had been impacted.
