Opera Air Launched! A Browser That Helps You Manage Stress with Guided Meditation and Exercise
Opera has introduced Opera Air, a new browser centred on mindfulness. This browser combines traditional functions with features aimed at improving user well-being.
It includes tools like meditation, breathing exercises, and positive quotes, all integrated into the browsing experience. The design is minimalist and Scandinavian, featuring a frosted glass interface that creates a calming visual environment.

Mindful Features for Enhanced Browsing
Opera Air offers guided exercises such as breathing routines, meditation, and full-body scans. These exercises last between 3 to 15 minutes, with reminders available for regular breaks.
Additionally, the browser incorporates binaural beats to influence brainwave activity. Users can choose from Creativity Boost, Energized Focus, Deep Relaxation, or dream recall modes. The volume of waves and background sounds can be adjusted for sessions lasting from 15 minutes to unlimited.
Seamless Integration with Daily Tasks
The mindfulness tools in Opera Air are designed not to disrupt browsing activities. For example, users can continue working while using the "Focused Calm" Boost. This feature combines Alpha 8Hz beats with nature sounds to promote focused relaxation. Audio-guided meditation sessions also help users relax and reconnect with the present moment through various narrators and session durations.
Visual and Functional Enhancements

Opera Air includes animated wallpapers that create a serene browsing atmosphere. The transparent interface adapts to chosen wallpapers and themes for a minimalist experience. Motivational quotes appear on the start page for inspiration and sharing. An integrated ad blocker ensures faster browsing without distractions.
Security and Privacy Features
Essential Opera features are retained in Opera Air, including a free VPN without logs, tracker blockers, and Aria-the native AI assistant-enhancing security and privacy for users. Smart exercises are guided by real-time 3D models using the device camera for accuracy during stretching routines.
Availability and User Experience
Opera Air is accessible for early access via the official Opera website. Mohamed Salah, Senior Director of Product at Opera, stated: "The web is a wonderful space, but it can also be chaotic and overwhelming. We wanted to explore science-backed methods to help our users navigate it in a way that enhances both their well-being and productivity."
Opera highlights that browsers have become vital tools for work, shopping, entertainment, and accessing web apps over nearly 30 years in the industry. By focusing on mental health through Opera Air, they aim to help users manage stress while enhancing focus throughout their day.
