Reliance Jio to soon start JioFiber service in Delhi-NCR

Going by a tweet posted by a Journalist and Twitter user @aseemmanchanda (via: TelecomTalk), it looks like the JioFiber service will be rolled out soon to the residents in Delhi-NCR. The tweet has a picture claimed to be a note issued by the company to some residents in the region to inform that they will start setting up the necessary infrastructure for the high-speed JioFiber internet service. The note has also confirmed that the task of laying the network cables for the same will be done in two weeks.

Further, the note also points out that the JioFiber service will be rolled out as a Preview Offer initially. It reveals that under the Preview Offer of JioFiber, users will get unlimited service at 100Mbps per month with a FUP of 100GB. For the first three months, the company will not charge the users but will collect a security deposit of Rs. 4,500 that will be completely refundable one you opt out of the service. Basically, the concept of the security deposit is similar to the Rs. 1,500 that is charged for the JioPhone.

While the JioFiber is coming soon to Delhi-NCR, the same is already available in select cities such as Noida and Gurgaon. The company is in plans to expand the service to over 100 locations by the end of this year.

Besides revealing these details, the note has also tipped the upcoming digital services that Reliance Jio will offer. These appear to include Fixed Voice, Live & Catchup TV on a large screen, Media Share, Home Automation, Gaming, Surveillance and more. In addition to these, we know that Reliance Jio is in plans to foray into the DTH market segment with the Jio DTH service that stir up an intense competition in the country's home entertainment market.
