Asus launched the much awaited Asus Zenfone 3 series of smartphones along with the Asus Zenbook 3 and Asus Transformer 3 Pro on August 17 in India. All the smartphones were priced aggressively and so does the Zenbook 3 and Transformer 3 Pro.

The Asus Transformer 3 Pro is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop from the company which also is priced aggressively. The Transformer 3 Pro was first unveiled at the Zenvoulution event back in May 2016. The Transformer 3 Pro is a hybrid laptop which competes against the likes of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and the Huawei Matebook.

A 12.6-inch touchscreen display

The Asus Transformer 3 Pro comes with a 12.6-inch touchscreen QHD display with a pixel density of 275 PPI. The company said at the launch event that the display on the Transformer 3 Pro covers 121% color gamut of sRGB space.

Powerful Hardware

The Transformer 3 Pro features a powerful hardware. There is an Intel Core i7 6500U processor which is clocked at 2.5GHz and the clock speed can maximum raise up to 3.1GHz with the internal Turbo Boost mode.

Also, the laptop has 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 1TB of Solid State Drive (SSD) and Intel HD 520 Graphic card which can handle two 4K displays at a time.

Lot of connectivity options

The laptop has several connectivity options such as the Wi-Fi ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1, multiple headphone jack ports, a microUSB port, an HDMI port, and a Thunderbolt port.

Two cameras and powerful speakers

The Transformer 3 Pro has a 13MP primary camera with support for autofocus and a 2MP front facing camera. Also, the hybrid laptop comes with an IR camera which further helps in accessing the laptop with the help of retina's in Windows Hello mode.

This laptop has two stereo speakers which are manufactured by Harmon Kardon. There is a microphone and the laptop can recognize and respond to the Windows Cortona feature.

Bigger battery

The Transformer 3 Pro comes with a 39Whr battery which as per the company can deliver up to 12 hours of battery life.

Availability and pricing

The Transformer 3 Pro is priced at Rs.1,44,990 and will be available via all online stores across the country. Users can also purchase the laptop from Asus exclusive stores and other digital stores over the country. However, the laptop will be available from October 2016 in the only gold color variant.
