Acer Nitro 5 Spin is the latest gaming laptop for $999
Acer Nirto 5 Spin is the latest gaming laptop from the brand which houses Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics assembly. The device runs Windows 10.
Acer has launched a new gaming laptop that is fairly priced and makes up too well for an entry level gaming machine. Acer Nitro 5 Spin is a machine with decent specifications and an appealing price factor.
Acer has been announced that the laptop will retail for a price of $999 (approx. Rs. 64000) in the U.S. and EUR 1,199 (approx. Rs. 77,000) in Europe. The price factor for the laptop may not be too subtle but considering the fact that a performance laptop is under $1500, makes its case strong. Acer will release the machine in October in North America and Europe initially.
Acer Nitro 5 Spin boasts a 15.6-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels of resolution. The display is rotatable which apparently adds the term 'Spin' to its name. It runs Windows 10 and is powered by 8th generation Intel core processors. It houses a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics assembly, which Acer claims, is sufficient enough for running games like Dota 2, Overwatch and League of Legends. The laptop also PCIe SSD with a capacity of up to 512GB. The storage could have been notched up since Acer is marketing it as a gaming laptop.
One of the interesting features this laptop houses is the fingerprint reader that can be used for several purposes which include logging in to Windows account.
James Lin, General Manager of Commercial & Detachable Notebooks, IT Products Business at Acer stated, "With a convertible design that features four modes, the Acer Nitro 5 Spin is a versatile gaming device that opens up exciting new usage scenarios for casual gamers on the go. Power users will also appreciate the great performance and battery life of the Nitro 5 Spin while enjoying the superb visuals and immersive audio that it delivers."
The device has two front facing speakers and a subwoofer which also makes it a catch for movie buffs and music lovers.
As is the case with performance laptops, one can also employ it for editing videos or for running demanding software. As for now, when will the laptop make a debut in India is yet not disclosed.
