Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop launched: Specifications and price
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop comes in four variants.
Xiaomi today announced the launch of its first gaming laptop alongside the Mi Mix 2S. Dubbed as Mi Gaming Laptop, it comes with impressive specifications yet carries an affordable price tag. Sporting a rather simple design, the laptop has a thickness of 20.9mm and it weighs 2.7 kg.
The Mi Gaming Laptop flaunts a RGB-backlit keyboard with 5 programmable keys. Interestingly, one of these programmable buttons can be configured to order food. The laptop is fitted with a 15.6-inch FHD display with a thin frame. The display has 72 percent of NTSC colour gamut and supports 178-degree of viewing angles. The laptop also can be connected to two other 4K external monitors for better gaming experience.
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop has four variants. The base variant is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor clubbed with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti, 4GB GDDR5 RAM, 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, and 128GB SSD. Whereas, the top-end variant makes use of an Intel Core i7 processor, which is teamed with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB GDDR5 RAM, 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, and 256GB of NVMe PCIe SSD.
Storage space on both models can be further expanded up to 1TB using the 2.5-inch hard drive. You can read about all the variants in detail here. The laptop also comes equipped with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio 2×3W speakers. For connectivity, there are HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C, Ethernet and USB 3.0 ports.
The Mi Gaming Laptop has 3+2 large diameter cooling pipes inside with 4 air vents, so that the system doesn't overheat even during long gaming sessions. Additionally, there is a TORNADO button which can efficiently bring the temperature down by up to 3-5 degree Celsius within 10 minutes.
As for pricing, The Mi Gaming Laptop has a starting cost of at 5,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 62,000) for the Core i5 + GTX 1050 Ti variant.
