AppleCare One Subscription-Based Insurance Plan Launched: Check Pricing and Features
Apple Inc. has introduced a new subscription-based insurance plan, AppleCare One, allowing users to cover up to three devices under one policy. Priced at $20 monthly, this plan launches in the United States on Thursday. It aims to provide broader coverage while simplifying Apple's existing Care services.
AppleCare One offers services such as battery replacements, 24/7 customer support, and protection against accidental damage like drops and spills. An additional fee of $6 monthly applies for each device added beyond the initial three.

Device Coverage and Enrolment
Users can enrol in the plan through their iPhone, iPad, Mac, or by visiting an Apple store. The programme covers all hardware currently supported under AppleCare - including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, Vision Pro headsets, displays, headphones, Apple TV devices, and HomePods - regardless of model or configuration.
A significant addition to AppleCare One is theft and loss protection for devices like iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Previously, this was available only as an optional extra under the standard AppleCare plan.
Revenue Growth and Consumer Options
The rollout underscores Apple's ongoing focus on expanding its services division. This division includes platforms like iCloud, Apple Music, and the App Store. It is reportedly on track to exceed $100 billion in revenue this year, making it Apple's second-largest revenue stream after iPhone sales.
Consumers can choose the AppleCare One option when purchasing new devices online or in-store. Existing devices up to four years old can also be added to the plan. However, users must agree to a diagnostic check to ensure hardware functionality. In some instances, Apple may request images of the device's front screen to evaluate its physical condition.
The new plan will coexist with the current AppleCare structure. This offers customers flexibility in how they choose to insure their devices. The bundled approach may particularly appeal to users with multiple Apple products who previously found individual plans costly or inconvenient.
